Default Stumped??

Hey I can't figure out what's wrong maybe someone had the same problem?

Every now and then over the past two weeks when I turn my key nothing happens at all, no lights work, no sounds nothing.

If I take my key out, open and close my door it seems, to start up no problem no dimming lights, no engine cranking, you would never know it wasn't starting before.

No low battery lights ever come on, and the jeeps only 1.5 years old, I got a winch and 4 kc lights hooked up to it. All the cables SEEM tight.

Any ideas why it won't start sometimes? Thanks

If its an auto it's probably the neutral safety switch, next time give the shifter a little tap forward and try to start it again.

My clock is also always reset when I turn it back on, you think the shifter would do that?

If the clock is reset i would start with cleaning and inspecting your battery terminals. If it was the safety switch you would get lights in the on position but no start while in the start/crank position. Did you wire your off road lights directly to the battery?

The neutral switch is not your problem.

No.
I believe you have a loose or corroded ground wire some place. It appears to be dropping power to the ECU and accessories from what you have described.
Sounds like a problem for Jeep if your still under warranty.

I've had the winch and lights wired for over a year with no problem, I ll double check all the ground wires tonight. Thanks for the replies in hope I don't have to go to the dealer, I know they'll try to blame it on the winch/lights smh
