Default struggling to get some help!

Happy New Year! After my 2007 Wrangler with 250,000 miles was totalled from someone hitting/bending the frame, I was able to get a 2018 JL Wrangler in 2021 and it seemed to be a perfect replacement. Since then, I began to experience the "death wobble" and after being told the part was under warranty, then not applicable to my car, then finding out it was actually replaced under the recall and I paid to have it redone, I reluctantly went to the dealership. They gave me an appointment to bring the car, but I had to call them daily to find out what was happening. Turns out they were short staffed, did nothing, suggested I didn't have a Mopar part which I did, and then had no clear suggestions, so I took it and left. I went to a place that specializes in lifts, etc. and they added another stabilizer which helped for almost a year but it's started back up again and it's not ok.

Meanwhile, I am not having consistent heat when I need it (it starts out warm, then slowly cools off), and while this happened in my elderly Jeep and was an extensive repair/cost, it shouldn't be in my newer vehicle. I have attempted to reach out to Jeep to get answers for both of these, and this has been going on now for 2 years. I keep getting the runaround, from "is the heat problem with the steering wheel or the chair?" to "I'm sorry, ma'am , but you will have to go to the dealership." Efforts to contact anyone here have been unsuccessful since there seems to be a language barrier/folks just following the call center script. I requested a number to call Jeep but it just ends up back with the outsourced center. Can anyone please help? I'd appreciate it! Thank you so much!

Here is the FCA contact info: Trust you kept the receipts on the repairs that should have been done under a recall, you should get reimbursement .. If memory is correct every recall notification has how to get reimbursed should the vehicle owner have paid for repairs that were same as the recall. Here is the NHTSA site for Recalls: www.nhtsa.gov/vehicle/2018/JEEP/WRANGLER

Jeep 'Death Wobble' Lawsuit Settlement Reached Over Steering ...

https://www.carcomplaints.com/news/2...-dampers.shtml

Fiat Chrysler announced customer satisfaction notification V41 for 2018-2019 Jeep Wrangler (JL) vehicles due to "Jeep death wobble" complaints and a lawsuit1. The Jeeps could shake and shimmy in the steering wheels, especially when driving more than 55 miles per hour and after hitting a bumpy road surface1. FCA is informing JL Wrangler owners that it will replace steering dampers free of charge if they experience any steering problems2. Replacing the steering gear or updating Electric Hydraulic Power Steering (EHPS) software should take care of the issue3.

Plaintiff's received $4,000 each. Plaintiff's attorney's received $3,9M.

Seems fair.

Default follow-up on death wobble/heat

Thank you so much for the information! I do have my receipts but I was told by Mopar's "company" that the steering damper was replaced under the recall and basically too bad! I will still contact them at the site below to get more help.

Meanwhile, any suggestions about how to handle the heat issue? Thanks again!!

Maybe so! I know I didn't have the wobble to worry about
Believe it or not, I kept the 2002 Jeep Liberty in the family to about that many miles!

To your HEAT issue, there are possibles like the thermostat, hvac blend air door actuator, or clogged heater core. There are multiple youtube videos that show several possible solutions. Suggest view some of each condition Blend air door actuator, flush heater core. Thermostat question was it replaced and at what miles and date? Good independent repair shop that works on Jeeps would be a choice if not doing the work yourself.

I would not buy a new Jeep now for the very reasons stated here. Too many issues with them now and a fight to get things done. But for now my Ch-eep is good to go and no issues. To the OP - sorry to hear about your issues but new Jeeps don't rate high in the ratings.
