I wouldnt say the pbr is true to size. It was measured at 40.25 at 20 psi on a 4 door.
Dirt nailed it all. I could have got a steal on a Jimmies chassis and kept the jeep on 35s.
All in all you have alot to research. Id say 99 percent of the guys with jks on 40s dont wheel them to there full potential. Mainly show and moderate offroad or youd see a lot more broke. Ive seen plenty of d60s get destroyed on 40s. So comes down to your needs and wheeling styles. If for show bolt on the evo kit and ramp it off a curb.

Defiantely not for show it will be used well. I will be towing it to offroad parks with my dually on a flat bed. If i break it oh well i have a way back home.

On the Evo Kit, looking that direction as I don't want to relocate the gas tank for a triangulated 4link rear and am not sold on a 3link for the rear on a rig that sees both road(around town sunny weekends) and serious rocks. They seem to have the highest clearance long arm non triangulated setup. I'll just have to deal with the rear steer. RK is starting to talk about their new more badassery kit but haven't seen details. I may buy an LJ one day but that won't see any street and would run a 3/4link with ORIs. That would be a different forum.

Funny, I'm actually 6'6" and slightly heavier. I actually just had my seat mounts cut down 2" to make headroom.
um... no. I just got back from Moab doing everything but Upper Heldorado and some of the other guaranteed body damage trails at BFE. Going to Harlan next month.

With enough bouncing and horsepower you can break anything. If you wheel like you don't care if it breaks, it will break. If you know the limits of your equipment and stay within them you will be fine.
We had a guy blow up a 2ton full width Rockwell a few weeks back.
It's all in the skinny pedal.
But to say Dana 60's are bullet proof and can't break would be a lie.

Ive seen plenty break on not so stupid driving. But these are some big time offroads and shop owners pushing there limits every day. Stuff fatigues. They just wheel more frequently and try to make alot more climbs. Sadly not everything can be "crawled" as many will say. Momentum is huge and stuff can happen.

A few more flexing out the 4 link setup.

Lol My previous jeep. Is that better. I was making a joke rob damnit. No at the current time I don't. Buy I will again very soon so get off my case. Lol I've earned full rights to make comments regardless of my jeep owning status. Lol. I have the spare key still if that counts and a crap ton of parts laying on the garage floor weighting to go back on if that makes you feel better.
