On Street What Do you Set Your Tarz PSI at?

And does airing down a little effect gas mileage?

Why does Jeep want you to set them so hard?

Your psi will also depend on the overall weight of your rig. Best way to dial it in, is with a chalk test. Start at about 30psi and adjust from there.

Not just the placard on the jeep, it's all the tire mfg's and shops. Every time I go in to discount tire for the free balance/rotate, I leave with the tires up at 40+ psi. As noted above, it depends on the tire size (bigger tires can get away with running less psi), the tire load rate vs the vehicle weight (C load on a heavy rig vs E load on a light rig), personal preference, whatever else. 30 psi is generally a good place to start doing the chalk test, then tailor it to your specifics.

I run my stock Rubicon tires at 37 psi cold pressure, as indicated on the door sticker.
They wear evenly, and the first set lasted a little over 76,000 miles.

Are we talking cold or hot? Cold start mine are at 34. By the time I'm running them a bit they're up to 36-37. At least that's what the PSI indicator on the cluster shows. I too have debated dropping them a little
