Default Strange feeling in my front end. Help!

Hi Everyone!

I have a 2011 Rubicon Unlimited with a 3.5" lift on 35" tires. I recently had an alignment done and I just noticed this issue with my front end.

When driving and you put pressure on the steering wheel you feel an almost rubbing sensation on the feed back. I checked my power steering fluid it is good. When they did an the alignment they replaced the part needed to adjust it (sorry I dont remember the name)

I typically notice this more the faster I go. I do need new tires but it feels like it is something else. I just did upper and lower ball joints and the axle CV joints.

Any help would be appreciated.

What do you mean “a rubbing sensation “?

The "rubbing sensation" is best described as if there was something giving resistance when I turn the wheel from dead centre. If I turn right I get a "groaning" noise and a feeling of it pushing a bit I guess.

I do need a new set of tires so I am going to try that first.

they would have only adjusted the tie rod or the drag link. I'm a little confused what they replaced. Did you have a bad joint at one end? I can't imagine them replacing something would have resulted in what you're describing. can you take a picture of the front end just so we can see if anything obvious stands out?

Sounds like you have a bad coupling joint somewhere in steering

A 3.5" lift, which is probably more like 4in+ actual. Do you have a drag link flip or drop pitman?

Is the Axle joint spinning freely and moving freely since you just did it? Ball joints when new will have some resistance. You will have to try to narrow it down since you did multiple things all at the same time.
