Default Stock Tie Rod=Forearm workout..say what?

No fluff so here it goes...

2007 JK Teraflex 2.5 coil lift, no other suspension mods...If I grab my tie rod I can move it back and forth like I'm doing a forearm curl with a dumbbell. I assume that's not a good thing! I can't imagine there should be that much play! I would guess I need to replace the bushings in the tie rod ends correct???

Rotational movement is totally normal. It's the up/down movement in the joints that you need to worry about.

Thanks, that's not the answer I was expecting.

That answer is 100% correct. However the stock tie rod and drag link are not very well made. They bend easy and wear out quickly. Upgrading is an excellent option, but at the same time if its not broken don't fix it!
