Default stock rubicon dana 44 diff gears in a dana 30?

I understand my rubicon dana 44 gears (410's) will fit into a dana 30 rear but not the front

is this true???

There is no such thing as a dana 30 rear. You either have a dana 35 (not likely) or a dana 44 rear.

umm say what, there is no dana 30 rear....all jeeps except for a few 07's have a dana 44rear, but I believe the rubi gears wont work in a dana 44 on a sahara or x. And your gears will not work in the front dana 30 of either sahara or x of course

I have a rubi with dana 44's and I just upgraded to 513's so the 410's that came out of it are for sale and a guy with an X model JK wants to install them into his jeep

I was told by one of my buddies that they should fit into his back diff but not the front so I was looking for your advise...

If he has a JK he does not have 35's... he would have 30's

stock is a 30 in front 44 in rear

unless he has a rubi then its 44's in front and rear/but the rubi 44's gears are not compatible with a x or sahara 44.

so the 44's are different in the rear from the rubi to the X and sahara?

all have 44's in the rear but they are different? That's interesting...I am glad I went for the extra bucks for the rubi

Thats wrong.

D44 gears in the rear are the same gears in any model.

The fronts will only work in a rubi D44.

WOW, all kinds of contradicting information in this one... JK D44 Rear ring and pinion gears are interchangable between different JK models. It's the shafts that are different in the Rubicon (and the locker of course), 32 spline vs. 30. Yes, some JKs came with the D35 rear. No, there's not a D30 rear.
