Sounds good. That's a cool lookin winch too.
Anyway, I won't be stabbing in between the rails. Have a front hitch that I'll need to modify to fit with the winch plate now.

I used a Warrior products winch mount, P/N 507-174, here is a link: Olympic 4x4 Products 507-174 - Olympic 4x4 Products Front Bumper Winch Mount in Rubicon Black for 07-11 Jeep® Wrangler & Wrangler Unlimited JK - Quadratec

I could not, and still can't, decide on a bumper. So I searched the forum and just went with it.

That's one of the nicest mounts I've seen on a stock bumper.

I went the easy route. rock hard mount on stock bumper. Easy and stout.

That cross member is a "U" shape, I just cut the sides and folded them down. It needed to be done to access the engage/ disengage handle.

The winch is the 12,000lb Harbor Freight. For $299 this thing is a beast, zero regrets on that purchase.
