Has anybody just removed the plastic from the stock front bumper? I have seen the post where people put TJ bumpers on. But is there much of a difference between the TJ bumper and the JK bumper sans the plastic?

 

there are plenty of people running around with just the metal subframe up front. the rear has nothing except the plastic. as far as TJ's go, yes, there is a lot of difference as they are beefier and are secured to the frame rails with bolts on top and bottom. the JK's have bolts that secure it to the frame up front only.

 

Anybody have photos?

 

do a quick search - there are lots of pics out with it. It does have a couple of the crush cans but some have even removed those... it is not solid like the TJ bumper...

Yah I already looked at that post. Those are all TJ bumpers, which I like. And may put on. But I am unable to find any photos of the stock bumper without the plastic.
