When I bought my unlimited X I was broke, so searched for, and found, one with virtually no options (auto only). I've been adding to the Jeep as I can afford to, and today bought a set of stock 16X7 alloys on eBay for $225 delivered to NH. My question is, how big can I go for tires given that I don't want to lift the vehicle and these alloys are only 7" wide. Gotta get rid of the station wagon wheels and tires that it came with. Thanks in advance for the input.

The largest you can go without a lift is about 33" x 12.5"-- and you'll probably have some rubbing at full stuff. The stock rims will fit 12.5" wide tires (whatever height), but what I've been told is you'll probably want wheel spacers with that wide of a tire on the stock rims.
