Default New Dana 44

Here is the first step. When I bought this jeep, I knew the condition of the front axle. But my knowledge of the price of a new Rubicon axle was based on prices a little ove a year ago. I figured around 1500.00. As you all know, I was wrong. I searched for a new or used axle and had resigned myself into just replacing the 30 with a used 30. . I want to run 37's so I ask on here how that would work and you all told me it might work that the the 44 was the right way to go. So thats what I did. I then found a new 44 here with a few upgrades. Heres a picture of it with the EVO C gussets.

Tell me what you think? So far so good? Please realize, I'm not experienced with a build like this, so please give me your feed back and suggestions. Just don't tell me I should have bought a 60 now. Its too late.

Check Daveys jeeps, just google it.

He is an all jeep junkyard. He gets JK's in all the time, and TJ's, LJ's, YJ's TJ's

I personally gone with 5.38 gears but at least you went with 5.13's and a 44.

Looks good. I"m sure it'll be awesome when your done.
What lift are you going to run?

If your going to run 37's. I would sleeve or truss the front axle to compensate for the weak factory tubes, and I would upgrade to cromolly axle shafts.

Default Going with the Skyjacker 4" lift for now.

I know there are mixed reviews with the Skyjacker products, but I have had pretty good luck with them so thats what I'm starting with.
