In regards to the condensation leaking out, that is good! If it didn't over time, it would rust out, even stainless, over time. That condensation needs to get out some how. On the stock "spun" muffler the condensation escapes through the "pinch" seams.

If you want PM or post a picture so I/we can check it out.

Here is a picture showing dripping water. It does this on both sides.

Here is a picture showing the notch. Again though, this is the only "cut" present. There are no vertical cut lines present.

That is the notch/slit.
And that water dripping is how to get the condensation out, now back to getting that sealed up.
DO you have access to a impact gun by chance? That usually get that clamped down.

No unfortunately I don't. I can maybe crank down on it more with an extension bar on my wrench, but was afraid of bending the metal too much on the piping and screwing things up.

Give it a try. if you see the exhaust starting to collapse. Stop! I am going to PM you our tech line too ( it is public knowledge btw) so it isn't a secret LOL.

Haha. Ok, I will take a look at it again when I get a chance. Hopefully I can make it work. I am still surprised though that you all didn't engineer/cut some relief lines into the piping. I would think this would make it easier to clamp down on the tubing and get it to seal. This is how the OE tubing is designed and they use a similar clamp.
