Default Stainless brake lines rub on tire...

My extended brake line rub against the tire. I was thinking of slightly bending the metal tube that attaches to the caliper. It is curently bent outwards( towards the tire ) Anyways, before I do this I was wondering if anyone knows is this is the kind of metal that bends or breaks...

I had the same problem after going with the TF 3.5 lift. My installer loosely zip-tied the lines to the shock body - problem solved.

Thanks, but I just figured my mistake. There is actually a left and right brake line. The bend is meant to bend towards the inside... Douhhh

You got it. I just checked mine and the bend is out instead of in.

Took about 30mins with a friends help to bleed the brakes, and now everything is PeRfeCt

I guess it's a common mistake since CM's installer made the same error.

Yeah, I had the same problem. Had to swap my lines around so the two with the bend were on the front axle and bent inward. You'd think the manufacturere would include a brief instruction sheet explaining that. I ended up rubbing through the clear outer sheath on two of my lines, so patched it up with "F-4 tape". Have no idea where one would buy that today, but it seems to have fixed the problem--no further symptoms after my run in Colorado last week! :-)
