Default speedometer off

I put 35" tires on my unlimited X and hubby says it is off by 5mph. Any way to change that and make it equal? It's an annoying OCD thing. Also, when I'm on the interstate, it is difficult to use cruise...it isn't very constant. I'm used to an 8 cyl and this 6 is foreign territory. Is it just because of the wind and the lift I have on it?

Its off by a lot more than 5mph if you still have stock gears.

The reason you can't use cruise is because you have the larger tires, but with stock gears. You need to regear to gain back the power you lost, and let it drive as it should on the HWY. As for what gears, 4.88's should put you right about where you want to be.

A ProCal will get your speedo back to where it should be. A SuperChip's chip will let you adjust the speedo, and gain some power at the same time.

as mentioned, an aev procal or the like is what you need. the procal is the cheapest solution but you may find that a superchips flashpaq or hypertech programmer will give you more bang for your buck.

Very simple with the Superchips. You can use a GPS to determine exactly how far off your speedo is. Then adjust your tire size with the programmer.

x3 on the Superchips...Will be money well spent + it has a lot of other cool features that the procal or hypertech may not have....

I have just one question on this matter...

I recently upgraded to 33 inch tires and noticed a slight decrease in MPG and my spedo/odo. I'm not looking to get larger tires or change a bunch of stuff. I'm only looking to recalibrate my settings for the larger tire.

So what would be the best reprogrammer? The AEV Procal is the least at $150, would the other two be overkill for my needs?

I have the superchips and I love it. The extra $$$ will be worth it in the long run. you can programme it for power or MPG savings along with changing the speedo among others. If you are going to buy one, I say spend the extra, you will regret it later if you dont.

so how hard is the Superchip to install? And is it really worth it? And if I get a superchip do I need to change the gears? Trying to get around the BIG expense issue. I have quite the want list. The engineer in the family says I don't need it and to deal with it. The female OCD in the family has issues with the speed and flux of RPMs.
