Default Spare Tire Mount

So here is my spare tire mount...It's a solution that works for me..didnt want it on the tailgait (heavy 35)..didnt wanna pay big money...Ive got $20 buck into it..sturdy as hell..ratchet strap holding it on now..May attach a Baja style mount to it later...we'll see..and yes it affects rearview mirror line of sight...but I'm 6'5 so its not bad..what do you guys think..

Nice. Looks good. do you think it will hold up when bouncing around on the trail?

Some our roads in OK are like trails..Its very sturdy...on a GOOD trail I'll just throw another ratchet strap over the top and she wont go anywhere..

Looks good. I am a fan of anyone who can fab something like that.

Do you have a support running forward? I ask because I suspect in a front collision that could be a disastrous solution, a 100lbs of pain headed your way.

Maybe leave it at home and only carry it on trail runs would be the best answer?

Underneath my rear mat the carrier is mounted to a 3ft by 1ft steal plate...it has a matching plate bolted to it under the tub with grade 8 bolts..Its not goin anywhere...Its alot more durable than factory position...
