Right now a former owner of this forum is writhing in pain at the recommendation to get a Teraflex tire carrier. The dude in question hates them.
You can also probably get away with just running a spacer on the stock carrier, but if you do, make sure you get some extended isolators (I think Daystar) runs them.
I have the Teraflex hinge, tire carrier, and accessory/hi-lift carrier and love it, but it is expensive.

My Teraflex carrier is unbelievably solid. Even on the roughest washboards, the wheel and tire barely move, they're so snug. And the gate opens as easily as stock.
