Default Spare doesn't touch rubber bumpers on gate

Have an aftermarket wheel/tire on the tailgate, and there is about 1/2" between the tire and the rubber bumpers. Any problem with this?

I thought I'd read about this in another thread several weeks ago, but I can't find it now.

I've had mine on there for about 6 months without any issues. Lots of bouncing around, too. I worried about it at first, but don't think about it now.

I had the same issues with mine when I added 35" tires. It rests on the bumper and I make sure it is tightened down well. I thought it would be a huge problem. So far no issues even in the rough stuff it is ok. I would like to see if anyone has come up with a solution. besides a new after market bumper. that will come in time (I ran out of hiding places for the reciepts from the other mods. )

Same here. Been running a 35" there for over 5000 miles and no issues at all.

Thanks for the info. I was going to try to figure out some way to shim them out to the tire, but it sounds like no big deal.
Thanks again.

somebody on the forum (don't know who) used hockey pucks behind the
stock spacers. I don't recall seeing any pictures.
