Default spacers

since my tires and lift are on the way home, been looking at spacers. (using my stock rims) i found some online, some no brand it looks like, and it says 59.99 per pair. spidertrax and other brands retail for 100 or more. how important is it to buy some quality/trustworthy/name brand spacers? if its the same 1.5 inches, comes with all the nuts and all that stuff, will i regret buying the cheap ones?

here are the cheap ones:

the spidertrax:

can someone tell me why they are so much cheaper? and if buying the cheaper ones will bite me in the ass later.

Default New Wheels?

Take that money you would spend on spacers, and put it in your pocket. You are a quarter of the way to a very nice set of wheels (or halfway to a set of functional wheels.)

Spacers are a band-aid over a set of new wheels. Do they work? Sure. Are there better ways to do it? Definately. If you are absolutely dead set on using spacers, always spend the money on a quality name...Always.

I'd just save up for a set of wheels with the correct backspacing for the better looks, function, safety and securtiy that only one mounting surface provides. Because remember, you will need to retourque the spacers at the manufacturer's reccomended intervals or you will have severe issues.

I worked at a tire and suspension company for two years, and we saw more than a few vehicle with stud damage due to lack of retourqe on spacers.

You can find Spidertrax cheaper online from other stores. I got mine about 3 months ago from 4wheelparts.com when they had a free shipping and 10% off sale. That made them $179.98 delivered to my door.
I don't know how Quadratec stays in business with their prices. Must be because of their high prices. Nice catalogs though.
Right on... the spidertrax are also double annodized for corrison, cheap ones are not and aluminum against stell will corrode, I looked at the cheaper ones too but I decided to go with the spidertrax for a bit more money and guarenteed quality.
Your right about Q'tec, Ive been trying to order a set of rocker guards; they were going to charge me $120 just for shippping while I got them shipped from 4wd.com for $43.... thats ALOT of difference for shipping.

Get the spidertrax. They are the best quality and proven name out there. I have them on my CJ5 and am very impressed on the quality. Some times Spidertrax themselves has cosmetic blems on their site for about $80/pair....

If you can save the $$$$ get new wheels instead with different back spacing and eliminate the need for spacers all together.
