Hey guys thanks for all the info. I plan on going to 33's as i have the 3.73's and I also pull a boat with it. I want to keep the street-ability/towability, with the ability of an occasional off-road exhibition. I live in Kansas, so as far as off road goes it will be tractor roads and some pretty mild to moderate trails. If you guys have any pictures of these setups i would love to see them. Thanks again everyone.

This is my set up with the 275/70R18's (33X11) with a 2" Rancho sport lift w/ RS9000XL shocks. Pictures from Uwharrie soon to come.

You can see after it settled I ended up with more than 2" and there is NO problem stuffing those 33's. Rides better than stock on the road, and the tires are as quiet as the stockers.

Here is my set up with 34"bfg some say they are 35's but under load they measure out at 33"
2.5" TF bb with the shock extensions. I did also get some rc quick disconnects for the front and the TF exhaust spacers. Other than that suspension gearing 3.73's is all stock.

I just run with the wheel spacers and the factory alloys for now.
There are more options available for alloys than steel
And plus and minuses for each but steel is usually cheaper.

This one is geared toward 15" rims, but it has some comparison info in it.

Also, if you think you might move up past a BB and 33's some day, there is a lot of good info in two of the threads stuck to the top of this modified area. Backspacing, lift height vs tire size, gearing, components, etc.

From what iv learned while on this forum and owned my jeep, some relative pros and cons would be:
Steel=heavvvy alloy=light

Steel=stronger and will bend alloy=Weaker and will break instead of bend

Steel=less corrosion resistant (especially after some rock rash) alloy=corrosion resistant

Steel=cheaper alloy=more expensive
