Default So whats the deal?

I have looked everywhere and cant find the answer. I have a 2010 with the tow pkg. I know i have 3.73 in a dana 44 in the rear. But what gears am I running in the front and what axle is in the front? A dana 35 or 30?

3.73s front and rear, you cannot have mix matched ring and pinion ratios. Front will be a Dana 30

If it's not a Rubicon, then you'll have a Dana 30 in the front, and the gears will also be 3.73. On a 4WD vehicle, the front and rear axles have to have the same gear ratio, or parts start going boom.

As a note, if it's a Rubicon, then regardless of the tow package or not, it'll have a Dana 44 front, and 4.10 gears.

Yep, what they said...

X/Sahara
D30 front 27 spline
D44 rear 30 spline
3.21, 3.73 or 4.10, depending.
(build dates prior to Feb '07 may have D35 rears)

Rubicon
D44 front 30 spline
D44 rear 32 spline
all have 4.10's
