Thanks for the replies.

I'm only running 28psi so that shouldn't be it.

I do need to upgrade the rear bumper for sure this is a good excuse for the wife!

I think I'm gonna order a set of STTs seems they do pretty well in snow and are a good tire all around except rocks, which isn't in my off road menu.

Might gonwith a big brake upgrade kit as well....

Are you locked in the rear? Have it engaged?

Sounds like your doing everything right, but I would keep looking before I changed tires. I'm running 35x12.50x17 km2's and they are pretty sticky in the snow.

Siped and aired down to 22 psi she should hook up just fine.
Of course if the road under the snow is actually frozen only chains will grip.

Are the STT siped?

I've been throwing around the idea of getting new tires for a while now anyways so this is gonna be the motivating factor to do this now.

Which MTs come siped other than Interco models? I do need a tire that is reasonably good for DD as well...

It could be the amount of snow that screwed with you. If there is more then an inch then your jeep should do great.

is it safe to throw it into 4 hi with only a half inch on the ground? We only got a coating here, and I saw pavement in most places so I didn't.
