Snorkel. Why get a cold air intake when you can get a snorkel that does the same thing and allows you to cross fairly deep water.

Another good thing is your not pulling air from a hot engine compartment. Your pulling air from outside the engine compartment.

I would go snorkel, I installed mine and have not had a problem at all with it. I like the look of it going down the side of the jeep as well. The windshield lights are not effected from it at all when night riding.

I used to hate the look of snorkels till rugged ridge came out with theirs. It looks like it's meant to be there instead of plastic running down the side of the jeep (I hate plastic on cars/jeeps/trucks) with the offroading I do I would suck up mud with a cold air Intake setup

I say go for the snorkel and get a ram mount for better mpg. I can also feel a difference In takeoff compared to my prefilter setup

I too liked the look of the RR however I read a LOT before committing to the AEV knockoff.the reason was bc the RR had a few reviews that were concerning bc the fit of the plastic tubes kept coming undone and it allowed water in to get sucked into the intake. A couple of guy reported near hydro lock.that was enough for me to not get it. No matter how cool it looks if it doesn't fit well then it's not worth it.
