I also vote rugged ridge, I have it on my 09 and I wouldn't go any other way.

Not true, I preordered mine through Quadratec on 3/12 and others have already received them. There is a thread on another forum that talks about the Rugged Ridge snorkel install on his 2012 3.6L. Hopefully I'll get my shipping notice very soon.

OK LADIES lol don't think anyone's answered the OP's question tho!!!
I used a 2" hole saw to start and then an angle grinder..... worked just fine
I'm still in favour of look at my jeep it has a snorkel.... I went AEV GEN 2 snorkel

To answer the op.....I first used a small bit to make sure everything was where it should be, then used a hole saw for my cut and then a dremel to clean it up slightly where needed. I went with the volant setup which can be found for way better prices than most of the big name vendors have suprisingly

I have just installed the AEV on my 2011 Diesel: used a 2" hole saw for the corners and a Dremel cutting wheel for the straight part (AEV Snorkel on Black Boar | Black Boar)

De 2nd gen AEV works for both the petrol versions as well as with 2.8 CRD Diesel version.
