So hears another question before I looked at that Smittybuilt winch, WARN had a deal on there 8000lb winch for around about 500 bucks, what the hell happened to that. It aint costing them any more to make them than it did a month ago, is somebody getting greedy?

A buddy of mine and myself bought the M8000 , It was an easy install in my Shrockworks midwidth and it was on sale .

I have the SRC8. Like it was said before, if you plan on wheelin two weekends a month, get a Warn. If you will only use a winch a few times a year, consider the XRC8. Their customer service was very good, by the way. I needed the gear box replace because of the Freespoll and long story short, they sent me a new one no questions asked.

I am getting the xrc8 winch and a shrocworks mid-width front bumper in April, I am going to replace the cable with synthetic rope (less weight) !
