Default Smittybuilt tailgate pack

How have people attached the pack to their tailgate? I'm not so thrilled with the idea of 10 screws on my tailgate(rust, water, etc). Anyone use velcro or maybe hot glue?

Thinking---

I got it - the drilling wasn't that big of a deal. I wouldn't use any type of adhesive, just doesn't seem a good idea with the weight of the packs + canvas thing + what ever you put into the bags.

I had an issue with drilling into the tailgate as well. Then once I started putting all my gear on there plus filling the bags my issue was gone. I love it

just touch up the holes and screws with some paint or something to protect it

Works great...went camping here in MS last weekend. Got to use the fire starter for the first time. Worked great, I would recommend getting one

i'm sorta not happy--ordered mine from amazon and the part that attaches to the tailgate is all warped. it doesn't lay flat! i put a few toolboxes on top to flatten it, but it's still a little uneven.

this happen to anyone else?

I drilled mine in and my packs are heavy. I love it. No sagging and I still haven't added everyting to it.
