Bought my 2013 JK already modified from the dealer and it came with a Smittybilt swingaway tire carrier. Well with only 13000 miles on it it seems the vibrations from normal driving causes the plate that holds the third brake light it develop a crack and eventually snap in half! Luckily 4WD in Jacksonville Florida was able to weld it back together but the design is flawed. The have gussets along it to a certain point but it's just flat plate three inches from the bolts so you can reach the bolts. I would have ran it all the way down and if you needed to do anything to remove it, heck take the tire off, lol...just hope #Smittybilt reads this.
