Default Smittybilt XRC Bumpers - Opinions

What is ya'lls opinion on the Smittybilt XRC bumpers (front and rear with tire carrier)? Good, bad, details you like or don't like, etc.

The Smitybilt bumper & carriers are pretty popular, especially as budget options. They seem to hold up really well, too. I have a knock-off version of the XRC Stinger bumper myself, but we cut the stinger hoop gusset out because I didn't like the way it looked. As far as I'm concerned, you can't go wrong there.

Like the fitment , the finish has held up perfectly and rustoleum bed liner is a perfect Touch up match from taking a few rock hits. The bad is that "pinch" style swivel hinge. Its fine and all but does have a touch of slop 3 years later as you see it.

I have the XRC front bumper on my 2012. It did require cutting part of the frame and drilling holes through steel to bolt on the bottom, so we had to buy all the tools to accomplish this. "No cutting, no drilling" is just plain ol' false advertising. It does come with its own winch plate, so you don't need to buy one if you plan on adding a winch. Here is a pic of it installed.
