Default Smittybilt Sliders 2 door

Anybody had any squeaking, creaking, moaning, or groaning out of their SB XRC sliders? I installed on a new 2 door....np.....lifted the Jeep.....GodAwful moaning, squeaking, and groaning....I thought was suspension....finally after torquing every bolt under the Jeep I took off the sliders and Voila!!!!!! No squeak anymore. If you did have this issue what did you do to correct? I really like the sliders, just not the noise....it is a Jeep and needs to be noisy but not to that extent.

I had that annoying noise too. Just look at the underside of the slidders. You will see where the flat metal part is touching the frame of your jeep. I just cut about a 1/4" of steel off of the slider off with a cutoff wheel on a angle grinder. No more noise. Btw it was only on the drivers side front that was making contact. The slidders mount to the underside of the body. So when it's touching the frame it makes a ton of noise while driving because of the flex between the body and the frame from the body mounts.

And I didn't remove the slider. Cut it while installed in the jeep. Took 5 min.

Had the same problem, loosened all the bolts and slid it away from body, retorqued and no more groaning. That was annoying!

What type and size cutoff wheel? I've got the same issue.

Wow... I have some 'squeeking' in front right and thought it was loose fender... Replaced all the fender anchors and heard the squeak again the other day. Never thought about my smitty rails following my lift. Hmmmmm, something to check tonight.

I used a 4" cut off wheel on a angle grinder
