Anyone...

I am replacing a Wilderness Rack on my 2dr JK because the body rusted out around the drilling that was required for install. I'm looking at the Body Armor 4x4 Base Roof Rack but would really like cross bars similar to the Smittybilt SRC Roof Rack (which looks almost identical except for the welded crossbar light bars in front and back). I really want to know if the Smittybilt crossbars will work with the Body Armor Roof Rack, or if there may be another aftermarket solution other than the Body Armor Adapters for roof racks like Thule.

If nothing works I'm forgoing the crossbars completely and going to Gobi.

Smittybilt, Body Armor, and the Ndure Roof racks are roughly all the same. Differences are mostly what cross members are included and price. If you search the forum you will find some pictures of Smittybilt XRC rear bumpers with mentioned racks. I'm also searching for what rack I want to purchase. What I have tracked down is to make it work all you need to do is drill out the rack frame mount so the bumper bolts will fit through. The rack uses a smaller bolt. Hope this helps. My XRC rear bumper should be here tomorrow and if I order the rack maybe a week from now. Off time permitting I'll post photos of my findings.
