Default Small interior storage ideas (feel free to add your own)

In my 2010 center console there is an empty space under the console lid. In more modern jks I hear there are specific spots for pens, kleenex, pad of paper etc etc... So I figure the spot in my 2010 console lid has potential for some small storage.

So... here are a couple of VERY rough mockups of a few ideas I threw together (please forgive me my horrific MSPaint skills).

Bungee net affixed to the underside

Even something like this would work if bolted to the underside of the lid (I own one of these and I wish it was just a little wider so it would fill up the whole area under the console lid).

even aftermarket hard and soft dash pockets could be bolted in

Also... use of powerful magnets hot-glued to the underside of some blank panels (example.... the top panel on the center dash) could make it to where one could stick small plastic trays (with metal plates affixed to the underside) or metal boxes (altoid tins and similar) there and be held in place by the hidden magnets.

Any other suggestions are welcome.

Great idea on the magnets, but I ward that center dash panel is where the compass is. Wouldn't it interfere with direction and nav?

I posted this a while back. Hear is my small contribution. It helps me keep mine a little more organized and keeps me from digging things out of the bottom of the console.
