Default Sluggish after CAI install??

Just installed a Airaid CAI the other day. Now it seems to be sluggish on the bottom end. If the rpms stay above 1500 it feels better than stock. Is this normal? Do the 6spds react different to them?

Hmm, no probs with mine, throttle response thoughout the rpm range was better overall, no sluggishness.do either of you have a high flow muffler or exhaust yet?

Low end torque is a function of the air velocity moving through the intake manifold. When you open up the breathing system to gain more air for high end power, you will typically loose some low end grunt.

Yeah i have a Flowmaster Hushpower muffler. To me it feels like turbo lag in a diesel truck. It will have nothing then about 1500 BAM balls to the wall! lol

i have the airaid cai and a mbrp xp series cat back exhaust on my 6sd rubi. i get all my power from 1500 all the way to about 4500 rpm. the lag you maybe feeling could be from your throttle by wire, throttle body and rheostat gas pedal. in which case i would recommend a spirit booster to eliminate that delay or lag you get from the above mentioned.
