Default Sliders- which to choose

Since I do not want to weld to my frame or screw through the body, I've narrowed my search down to two sliders - LOD and Shrockworks.
Both are around the same cost including shipping so that really is not a consideration. Both bolt to the frame. Both have similar construction.

What I'm looking for is people's experience with either one.
Let me know your thoughts.
Thanks

I've ran LOD on my last thee jeeps and love them. Strongest attachment method short of welding. Have an actual usable step integrated in.

I have the LoD as well. Love them. Install takes a little effort, but what Jeep project doesn't end up taking a good half day?!

If you go LoD, I recommend bare metal and painting them, or spending the extra for the zinc powder coat.

Either will do you well. I have and really like the Shrockworks stuff, but they can take a while to receive (think months).

This past weekend, camped at Guale 2 in Big Bend Ranch State Park ...

I actually like the standard PC on the LOD. It's pretty durable and cheap. Also, the duplicolor semi gloss black at advanced auto parts is a dead match for easy touch ups.

I went with the ACE bolt on slider and kept my Rubi rails attached. They are very solid and are somewhat a step also. Some people said the hang to low (they are not lower than my frame) and branches will hang up in them but they work well for me.

Poison spyder has new frame mounted bolt on sliders coming out, you may want to check those out.

That works on the Shrockworks semigloss, too. It's what Jim (Shrockworks' owner) recommends.

I like it, but within a week noticed some rust around the welds on the step part (both sliders). Maybe I just got unlucky.

I have a friend who when he ordered the Shrockworks told them he wanted to keep the OEM Rubi rails. It looks really nice. They do some adjustments in the construction to make it work: The advantage of ordering custom-made versus off-the-shelf design.
