Default Slider Question

Im thinking about replacing the factory steps on my 09 with a set of Rock Sliders from SmittyBilt.
They have a rebate on them until Monday.
http://www.4wd.com/productdetails.aspx?partID=10510.
Also considering LOD Sliders.
Step is needed as DW is vertically challenged
Any input as to how well these work is appreciated.
Thanks.

Looks like they will take up some ground clearance in the pics. Also, not sure how they attach, but the 2 biggest factors to me is how they attach and if they hang too low/stick out to far.

I know DeepSeaRufio has those sliders and I think is looking to change them out to something else. Try shooting him a PM.

Default Smittybilt SRC rockers

I'm running the Smittybilt SRC rockers; they're a lot more snug to the body, and there isn't a step. To each their own. I don't have kids, and although my girlfriend is short, that's what grab handles are for! I don't do any rock crawling, so I can't tell you anything about how they withstand abuse from rocks...

Here are the ones I bought, they provide a nice step and do not sacrifice ground clearance. Also, these things are beefy. For $300 delivered, can't beat the price. Here is the website:

I had these SRC Rockers and traded them out for their SRC Classic rail with tube step. The SRC Rockers pictured in your post ended up bending into my body causing damage. I think it is a design flaw of not mounting in the middle. They bent inward on a rock ledge and pressed into the body. I complained and they offered to replace with another product. IMO, the replacement (below) was a thousand percent better. The Rockers were decent for moderate trails, but not so much on large rocks or ledges.

Thanks, Renpia. I appreciate the heads up. I'll be sure not to put too much stress on them. And you're exactly right - due to the lack of a middle mount, I could see how that would be a weak point. Nice rig by the way.

Donnie,
If you like them - get them. I personally like the look and I'm thinking about the same setup on my JK.
