Default Skyjacker vs Teraflex

Looking for a 2.5" lift and was wondering what the difference is between the Skyjacker and Teraflex kits? Both seem to include shocks and springs, but the Teraflex runs about $200 more. Do I even need new shocks or can I get away with adapters on the factory ones? HELP!!!

Or even coils for that matter. Will a budget boost do just fine? Only ride trails on the weekends, nothing crazy at all.

Yes, you will be fine with a BB instead of coils. And yes you will be fine with shock extensions instead of new shocks. It's personal preference and budget.

For the difference between the two --> which two? They both offer several 2.5" kits, so which ones were you looking at? My guess would be that the TF kit you looked at had more components included than the Skyjacker kit.

Teraflex. Don't even mention skyjacker. It's crap. Unless you plan on buying a new lift 6 months later.

Also, buy from a good distributer like northridge. Better prices and free shipping. You can even call them and ask questions. Quad is all about money crap products.

Had a Skyjacker kit at first, only kept it a few months, did not like it. Went to Teraflex for a year, and liked it before going to
ORE setup, which is great.

So, longer rear links (then you move the stock rear links up front), different front bumpstops (TF's arre uppers, Skyjackers are lowers and need to have a hole drilled in the pad to install), brake line extensions, and a much better, beefier rear trackbar bracket.

Compare components, not just prices...

I've run Skyjacker on all my rigs. Pick-ups and jeep. Never ever had any problems. They make great stuff. I don't understand why ppl have so many problems..... Bad installations maybe??

I recommend Skyjacker to everyone. Great platform to build off of too, quality that's affordable. I'm currently mixing Skyjacker and TeraFlex on my rubi. 4"Skyjacker coils, TeraFlex track bars, and before the spring I'm adding the Teraflex long arm up grade kit.
