Default Skyjacker 2.5

I just installed the Skyjacker 2.5 lift with 3/4 spacer in front on my 4 door. I also installed 1.5 wheel spacers. The kit included front and rear springs, front and rear shocks, bump stop extensions and a rear track bar bracket. I also added a 3/4 spacer to level everything out. The lift was very easy to install. I did this without any assistance and completed it in 4 hours and that included clean up and front end alignment. I DID NOT NEED SPRING COMPRESSORS. The springs come out very easy. The alignment is also really simple. The only thing that can be adjusted is the toe in and it is just like a TJ when doing it. I did not measure to see how much lift I really got but there is definately room for 35's. Tires go on tomorrow. I was also noticing there are steering stops just like a TJ, so if you have trouble rubbing the control arms or anything else you can put washers in the steering stops just like a tj. I will post pics tomorrow after I get my tires.

I'm just posting this for all the doubters and people that think this is a tough job. The instructions for the lift were very easy to read and easy to understand. I give this a 2 out of 5 in difficulty.

Sounds like you have a nice setup going. Please post some pics once you get things setup with tires.

thanks

Awesome! How's the ride with the Skyjacker kit, and which shocks did you go with?

Did you try to mount the factory wheel/ 35 in tire combo without the wheel spacers first? If so what where the areas that it rubbed? I ask because I would like to try and mount a 35 inch tire without the use of wheel spacers even if this required some modifications on my part.

You will have to run a wheel spacer with that combo, no way around it. Factory backspacing is 6.25" and it won't work without them.

Thumbs up 35s on 4 dr

Darn that is a great looking setup-- Did you plan to get a 35 in spare tire put on too? What did all those upgrades cost you? JDJ
