Default SkyJacker 2.5 and 35s?

I tried to search this but there were a million posts to sift through.

Will I be able to fit 35s with a Skyjacker 2.5" lift or is it too small?

not to be wisenheimer, but did you try the first sticky message? There is a topic in that post named 'wheels and tires'.

Some rubbing will happen with that setup.

I did actually look at the sticky (thanks for asking). It says 2.5" budget boost - that's different than a 2.5" lift I think...maybe not. That's why I'm asking.

you are going to get some rubbing on either of those lifts. Probably more out of the skyjacker lift since its all springs and no hockey pucks to put in. i'm assuming you are asking about rubbing when at full flex. the spring lift will give you more flex both up and down, so you'll get more drop and also more stuffing. so in short, yes, you will be rubbing the tops of the wheel wells.

oh, don't forget your wheel spacers unless you are getting different wheels, because with the stock wheels, you'll really be rubbing when turning.

I have the Skyjacker 2.5" lift with Mud Grappler 35's. I also added the 3/4" spring spacers to level the rake out. I have no rubbing at all in daily driving. My wheels have 4.25" backspacing.

In extreme flex (with swaybar disconnected) I get some scrubbing on the front fenders. Nothing that I am concerned with.

There are a few guys running 35's with budget boosts.

I'm sure at first, the sky jacker will be a little more than 2.5 inches, until the coils settle.

Everythign really depends on the exact size of your tires, and your wheel choice too.

All in all, though, if it's really bad, you can always add a 1" body lift to fix the issue (A 3 inch lift seems to be enough clearnace for 35's)

I don't expect to ever see full flex, so it sounds like I'll be ok. I'll only do light to moderate off roading so I should be ok. I will take a look at some 3" lifts as well.

Wheels have 4.5" of backspacing so I should be ok I think....

I have this lift with 35" X-Terrains and under normal driving i have no issues. at around full flex you get a litte bit of contact on the fenders but nothing really bad.

Make sure you get the relocation bracket issue addressed on the front end....SKYKACKER is still selling the 2.5 with the rear axle mounted relocation bracket and without the JKBRC15. I called and they stated there was no reason for the bracket on the 2.5 as there have had no issues. There are pictures of the 2.5" and 4" breaks all over the forum.....If I were doing it all over again I would have ponied up more coin for a better setup. My piece of mind may be overated though.....
