Default Which skids first (type, manu.)?

I was wondering which skids would you do first? What type and manufacturer?

I currently am running stock in regards to skids and have rocks sliders with bumpers on the way. Just curious which skids you would put on first and by who?

The transfer case and fuel tank skids do a good job. Get an oil pan/engine skid and an evap if you don't have one. Rock hard and JCR are my favorites but there are many choices.

Yep. Engine skid first.

Heavy duty differential covers and front LCA skids might be something to consider also.

I think I am going to go with the engine/oil and evap skids for now. I am looking at the JCR skids, but I noticed in doing my research that the Rockhard skids have those special washers to help protect the bolt heads. Seems like a good idea.

From looking at the different manu. it seems that most have the bolt heads exposed. Any thoughts on this or is that just over analyzing?

Those special washers can get so mangled that you can't get a wrench or socket on the bolt. No thanks.

I'd rather have the bolt exposed. Worse case scenario, I can weld a nut on the bolt head.

I just spent the day looking at diff skids vs diff covers. That's going to my first addition. Then evap after that.

A good evap skid... And I'm a big fan of the Rock Hard 4x4 engine/transmission skid. Diff covers are also another good component to have.
