Default ?size rim/backspace/tire stock 2010 unlimited...

Looking to find the correct size rim, backspacing and tire for a 2010 4 door unlimited, 6 speed... completely stock at this point. May go with a leveling kit, no lift kits until after the warranty. So for stock I currently have the 17" rims with the 225/70/17 goodyears.

Like to go 33" tire, with the tire showing about a 1/2 inch or so out past the stock fenders.

Mainly a daily driver, occasional "light" trail riding

Looking at Cepak DC-2 Rims and BFG KM2's
or
ROckstars with the BFG KM2's

I think I'd prefer not to go with spacers - but maybe I need to if the proper tire is a metric (285/70/17?)

Appreciate any help...

If you planning to install a set of 33" tires with 12.5" or 285mm on the width, then you will probably need a set of wheels with the offset number like 0. If I remembered correct, the stock wheels have the offset number +44mm, and those wheels will fit the tires up to 255-265mm on the width with no rub issue, but the tires with 285mm width may make a little contact with the frame or the brake line when doing a full steering move. Therefore, a set of more offset number wheels is needed. I am not so sure about the back spacing number, but the offset number must be at least 44mm less than the stock wheels, so that will be like 0 number for the offset. I used to run with the AEV wheels, and those wheels' offset number is +10mm when the back spacing is 4.7". Here is a formula: stock wheels (+44) - AEV wheels (+10) = 34mm, so the AEV wheels provided 34mm spacing more than the stock ones.

The stance you seek is a lot like what mine is with 33s. I have 4.5" BS and it is ideal
