what do you mean its thicker?? There both powder coat??

The smooth does go on a little thicker and is therefore a bit more durable. It has something to do with the formulation of the powders.

It isnt a HUGE difference, but it's there. If you cant make up your mind, it's something to consider to help you decide.... If you like the text black better, get it. It's still good.

All our stuff is baked, sandblasted, washed, the baked again for final Powder application which means it's leaps and bounds more durable than most of the PC on the market. Most places just wash then spray it on. It's all in the prep work.

well thats something to consider though... I was gonna order the mid width bumper and sliders at the same time.. I liked the textured finish on the front bumper in the pictures.. I kinda figured the texture might provide a little grip if you use the sliders as a step at anytime.. hmm.. now I dunno what to do

I wanna know about Jims rear too! Wait, that doesn't sound right. I am a female if that helps, but I want to know about the rear bumper! My front mid length should be here today! I need a rear to match.

I heard the Rustoleum Textured Black works well. Havent tried it myself yet though.
