Default shrockworks rear bumper

anyone have one?

Aways heard good things about them and their rear full width rear bumper with tire carrier looks like it is a winner.

I was wondering if anyone has one? any thoughts after running one for a while?

I'm considering their bumpers, so I can echo what you're hearing in that sense. You've also, no doubt, heard that the wait after ordering from them can be extreme -- nearly a year in some cases.

Reach out to Mark Doiron on the forum. He runs Schrockworks bumpers and does a lot of overlanding, so he should have good experience for you.

Really like mine. Took ten months to get in 2008. Friend of mine ordered for his '12 and it took him about six months to get. His install wasn't quite as satisfying as mine--he complains (bear in mind he's very critical of anything he buys) that the rack leans back a bit. Mine has been bumped enough times that it's difficult to blame any leaning on Shrockworks at this point (LOL). It is built tough and heavy. Both of us needed to swap out our rear springs on 2.5" TF coil lifts for the OME HD springs to counteract the added weight from that and other mods--but the springs work well when running very heavy (as we do for overlanding). Here are a few pics of his and mine ...

Friend's Jeep before he swapped out the springs (it was this trip I told him he needed to do it, so we did upon return to his home).

I would recommend if you can find some LED lights to install for the back-up lights that you do so. Changing out a back-up bulb in the bumper is a bit of a pain, plus the amperage incandescents draw is a bit high for the wiring (though I've never had a problem).

I run the front stubby. It took 6 months to get. Great bumper love the stubby up front, I will likely run the AEV in the rear.

I was debating between the shrockworks rear bumper and the LOD. When I was calling around the various shops for information, shrockworks was the one that took me the longest to get an answer from and the guy who 'helped' me on the phone was less then helpful, sounded like he really didn't want to be there or even talk to me on the phone. That, plus the long lead time on the bumper made me go with the LOD. They cut out the rear bumper lights to my flush mount visionx lights free of charge and tossed in a few other things to offset the cost of shipping to canada. Super friendly and answered every question I could think of, always picked up the phone too no matter which day I called.

The shrockworks with the tire carrier and rack/cans that Mark has looks absolutely awesome. From what I've read on the forums they have a great build quality so when you actually get your bumper, you should be satisfied with it. My concern was that if I had a problem with it, their cs wasn't too inspiring, that was August 2012 I believe.

EDIT: before someone jumps in, the point on answering when I called is business hours monday - friday.

Overall, been pleased with the Shrockworks (especially once I figured out how to easily change the bulbs in the lights). Quality is good, it's solid, it's adjustable plus it allows use of the OEM hitch.

On the other hand, I don't trust a company that takes your money up front and then doesn't deliver your purchased item until six to ten months have lapsed. No more Shrockworks for me, unless I can buy their product from someone who has it in stock.

I had their front bumper on a different vehicle, amazing quality. It took 7 months to get, not worth the wait considering you have a million options though. I only put $100 down and paid the rest when it was finished.

On my Jeep, the MBRP roof rack with front extension (in some of the pics). On my friend's Jeep, the AEV roof rack.

I've contacted them several times over the years and never had any problems. Twice I needed to replace lost shackles (now use pliers to tighten them down, LOL) and they provided new ones for free. Once I called about a screw-up while installing their rock rails (on my part--drilled too large of a hole in one place). I never said I was in a hurry (wasn't), but they overnighted a part to allow me to finish up the install, no charge. Once I called about my damaged trail rack when I backed into a tree while rescuing another guy. Just wanted to know how much they wanted for just the rack (not the supports or anything). Answer was quick and polite, but too expensive compared to just banging it out and painting it up.
