Was about to order the 9550 from terraflex when I read about all the leaking problems now I'm second guessing. Any thoughts on the Rubicon express, they are made by bilstein, are they any good. Would like to stay in the $250-300 range. Any input would help

OME long travel shocks are popular. Rancho 9000 adjustables are very popular, and inexpensive when you find the rebate (also have a 30 day trial, don't like em just return). Fox/BDS get decent reviews, but may be a bit too much. Metalcloak came out with a lower priced option not long ago. Some people like Bilstein 5100's (though I think they are stiff for a JK).

Lots of options out there, just read plenty of reviews before deciding.

for the money the Rancho 5000X shocks are impossible to beat. They are dirt cheap and perform well. People are turned off by the fact that they think they are the same as the old 5000's but they are more in tune with the rs9000.

Go Rancho. RS9000XL might be a few more dollars but well worth it. Check out Offroad Elements they had a forum deal. Not sure if they still do but they are easy to work with. Ask for Eric or PM him.
