Shock question....
Will eventually be upgrading to a 3.5" lift from a 2.5" spacer lift. Currently With stock shocks
I have been finding good deals on shocks and was wondering if it is ok to run a shock for a 3.5-5" lift on a 2.5" lifted jeep?
Pros/cons?

I would buy some cheap shocks to hold you over till you go to a 3.5inch lift. You would be out of a lot of money if you blew a shock because it was the wrong size for your lift.
