Shocks are skyjacker hydro7000

What is the recommended amount of down travel of a shock for daily driving. Out of the blue I decided to see how far they extend out of lower mounting hole. Its about 2 inches extended. And plenty of room for up travel because my bump stops would bottom out.

2 inches enough for daily driving, bumps, curves, dips in road, etc.??

Probably why my suspension feels like shit over man hole covers.???

Im going to eventually buy new shocks anyways. The skyjackers were used and old to begin with.

 

For general driving this is likely enough... but it is far from an ideal set up.
