Default Shock boots or no?

So I installed my rear Edelbrock shocks last night. GREAT SHOCKS!! The difference is night and day.

Anyway I am wondering if I should leave the the shock boots on? We see a lot of salt here in the winter so I am afraid if I take them off they will rust out..

just say NO to shock boots. while they may look nice, the only thing they are good for is holding water, mud, dirt and debris. leaving them on WILL cause your shock shafts to rust out especially if you live in an area where your roads get salted.

Default Boots

Shock boots are Old School junk that just looks "cool" on your show rig.Like everyone posted, just they just hold moisture and speed the rusting process.
