Shift Light
Anybody running a shift light?
I've looked at an MSD and Autometer multi-stage digital programmable but would love to hear if others have a different set up. How did you hook it up? Did everything place nice with the stock ignition and ECM?

I am not, I do not think it is needed
1) 3.8L takes forever to rev to 5-grand anyway. (Whopping 20Xhp, hang on!)
2) Won't make it any faster
3) It's a Jeep...
4) What are you 'racing'? lol
5) Throw of the shifter is extremely long
6) Syncros suck in the trans on fast shifts anyway
Wrangler is far from needing a shift light in my book. Don't get me wrong, I love my JK...it's far from racing and or needing a shift light. though

agree, theres really no need for one. offroad, you shouldnt really be getting your RPMs that high, and on road, it takes so long to hit red line that theres no point.

knew that was going to happen, sooner or later..
Sorry, Goody.. I go strictly by the feel and sound, never used a light, been driving manual transmissions since 1978.. all varieties of vehicles.. They probably serve a purpose, but; again
are stereo-typed to Drag-Racers or Wanna-be Ricers.. I would hope you don't fit into the latter..
