Shedding weight
In what ways are jeepers shedding weight on their jk? In most situations i think it can be concluded that it is ideal to have a jeep as light as possible (maybe not in others). So, how have we lost weight? Personally i have removed my back seat. Thats about it. I am looking for ways to compensate for when i fab up bumpers and rails. Please share!

Honestly, it's almost impossible. Aftermarket parts -- skid plates, tires, bumpers etc etc are going to add weight. I removed the backseat in my JKU, but didn't notice much or any difference.

Stubby bumpers will weigh less than full. They're heavier than stock. You can save weight by using aluminum rather than steel.
In truth most jeeps are better served by heavier duty add ons rather lighter weight, if you're going to see any rocks.

I'm not really worried about weight in the jeep, it's not super heavy, and when off-roading where I live, weight helps; since in Kentucky, everything is muddy hills and rocks. I'd be more worried about the rotational weight of the tires.
