Default Sell hard top and replace with Trektop NX year round?

Anyone get rid of your hard top and use the Trektop NX year round without regrets? My JKU is not my DD, I live in So. CA., and taking the hard top off with the help of the wife is nearly impossible. My jeep wont fit in the garage so those nice ratchet/pulley systems to take off the top is out of the question. Thanks...

I've had both hard tops and soft tops and actually found myself going winters without putting hardtop back on, and I live in boston.
A lil louder but that's about it

I did exactly what your talking about. I bought a trektop nx for $550 and fell in love. Then I sold my hardtop for like $1350 or something like that, and pocketed the difference. Just got out of my first snowy winter with the trektop and I couldn't be happier. It doesn't leak or anything. Go For It!

Great...I think I'll be selling the hard top and pocketing difference. This will make it easier to convince the wife

Weather wise you will be fine in so cal. I have an 08 soft top and a 12 hard top. My soft top has be "broken in to" at least twice from ppl unzipping and climbing in. So security may be a concern.

I spoke with Bestop a while back (December I think), they told me they were going to release the trektop in twill in the first quarter of 2013. They are a little late by my calander, but I'm holding onto my hardtop until they come out with it. A little thicker and quieter for deer season/winter. I live in VA, but my JKUR isn't my DD and stays garaged. Just some food for thought if you want the thicker soft top.

I have a 2013 JKU Sport. I am thinking of selling my soft top and getting a trektop. I like the twill, I may wait for that.

Sold my hard top for the same reason , boughtthe nx when it first came out and safari straps and still ended up with 200 bucks afterward

Going on 2 years now and don't regret it yet
