Question Sealed Windjammer??

Here's a question I had for a while.....
Why does the Bestop Windjammer not completely seal the cabin of the Jeep?
I bought the safari top, windjammer, and duster and will go to an upholstery shop to get the whole setup sealed (extra fabric sewn on, etc). This would be ideal for the non-hard top months. Anyone do this???

I talked to a Bestop rep at Camp Jeep in 2005. I posed this same question and he told me that they were internally designing one that wrapped around and fit into the door tracks that the soft top windows used.

I guess eigher the design didn't market well or they never finished it. I was interested then and I'm interested now.

It's not like it's just a crack either. You could throw a cat through the gap...

My windjammer should be coming in any day now. I am either buying an upholstery sewing machine and sew in a filler or go to an upholstery shop and have them do it. I'll write up a thread on it once I get it done. This may turn into a mod that all windjammer owners will do.

You would think for the three hundred bucks for the whole system, top, duster, windjammer and header, the crap would come right from the manufacturer. Anyone complain to Bestop?

har!

(staple a piece of bread to it's back, then butter the bread and toss the cat in the air.
As cats always land feet down & buttered bread always lands buttered side down... it'll put a tear in the universe)
