Hey Wayoflife,...I was all over this subject today....you mentioned this in your reply when I posed a question concerning a rear Locker"X" & Disconnects. Well I was looking at these hard today, kinda costly but probably the way to go. I watch "2K2wranglersx's" video in the bad mud with open diff's & did outstanding BLD(brake loc diff) working great. I have Trac Loc in my "X" , so I'm dropping the Locker idea all together & go forward with one of TeraFlex Systems. This TeraFlex S/T Swaybar System cost $459 and the Dual System your showing cost $589. Both are a great systems, I checked everything offered out there and always come back to the TeraFlex. I feel either one would be big big improvement. Don't know which one yet, maybe sell the wife & get the Dual. Max Articulation and soild tire's(my 265X75X16's) will make this "X" just fine.

Hey nam6869usmc, if you're gonna do it, definitely get the Dual Rate swaybar. Trust me, I currently run an Off Road Only SwayLOC on my TJ and it's the only way to go. Solid performance and stability on road and maximum articulation and stability off road.

This looks excellent. Do you folks suppose that the on-road stability would be better with the TerraFlex Dual system than with stock? My Sahara is definitely my DD, but she gets off-road on some pretty good rock at least a couple of times a month.... so best of both worlds would go good for me-- but on-road safety is extremely important.

BTW, 1st post! Nice site you've got here.

Hi Doojer, welcome to JK-Forum! Regarding your question, it's hard to say whether or not the TeraFlex sway bar would be "better" than stock as I or anyone I know has not run one yet. My best guess is that it's at least as good as stock as I'm sure the torsion rate of the new swaybars can be calculated to match what is on the JK now.

I'll just save a little more money or get it another way for the Dual Rate,...Xmas is soon and I'm sure I can be real real nice to my better half & she would be clueless of my true intention's.

For those that are interested, here's a response from Teraflex from the Project-JK main site....

The Standard S/T sway bar was one of the first of it’s kind, allowing the connection of the sway bar to be separate from the links themselves. The S/T sway bar was first tested and engineered in the summer of 2002.

In 2002, The Dual Rate idea was looked at also for market study and cost analysis. It required some additional engineering and testing to get it to the proper standards we wanted. Several prototypes were built and, The final pre-production sample Dual Rate has been in long term testing for the last year (TJ model). We chose to debut it at the 2006 SEMA show in conjunction with the new 07 Wrangler feeling confident that the product is ready for production, and purchase.

The Dual Rate and the Standard S/T swaybar HD street torsion bar provide a 10% stiffer rate than factory for improved on-road stability. Both the street and the trail torsion bars are constructed from heat treated 4130 chromoly.

Bringing this thread back from the ashes, but does anyone have experience running this on their jk? I'd love to hear what you guys think of it on and off road.

Thanks!
