No, No, wasn't me. I had just forgotten about that problem. I haven't heard of anyone breaking those lately.

I love when people build their rigs to be bullet proof.

Looks GREAT

Thanks, should hold up pretty good for you! I can't wait to pick it up tomorrow and see the final custom rock-sliders, I know my teen daughters are going to be happy that they can now climb in the back easier without slipping.

HOLY SHIT...!!! I had no idea they were so weak. You'd think everything else would break before that did. Do you happen to know the circumstances that caused that to crash and burn...??? Has that happened to very many rigs?

Undernormal circumstances they should be bulletproof...but....add bigger wheels, lift, and so on...and things start to break. I'm curios if any stock rubi has ever broken one, but not by being stupid like jumping off bridges.

Hey Brett,
Did they have to "heat stress relieve" the tubes? I have been doing some research for trusses and the topic keeps coming up. By doing that much welding it almost positive that the tube will warp, then it needs to be heated up and straightened.
Thanks

Not at all, we stitch welded it in a way similar to tighting lug nuts in a pattern opposing sides back and forth which minimizes the chance for that to happen, takes longer but prevents the warping, we definitely thought it through.
